These houses in St. John's are well known. These colourful houses are located on the windy streets and steep hills of downtown St. John's, Newfoundland \u0026amp; Labrador. The bright colours helped sailors find their way home from the harbour. Although this still could be true, undoubtedly it could also  be a legend. I love the idea. I rigorously clean them using safe household products, and subsequently, they are safe to use.  Some bottles will have pourers, others will have stoppers. I can attest that the bottles are great for storing vinegar, oils, dish liquid, and the like.
