Inspired by the official bird (Puffin) of Newfoundland. The Atlantic Puffin is the provincial bird of NL. About 95% of all North America's puffins breed around NL's coastlines.  The Atlantic Puffin is the NL provincial bird. About 95% of all North America's puffins breed around the Newfoundland and Labrador coasts. The largest puffin colony in the western Atlantic (225,000 pairs) can be found at the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, 32km south of St. John's.  Another key point about the Puffin is it's magical colorful beak which it is especially known for.
