This is my depiction of Heart's Content, Newfoundland's Lighthouse, now a heritage site. Having grown up in Heart's Content and hearing the legends of mermaids combing their hair by the Lighthouse and guarding a treasure there I have had this painting on my mind to paint for many years. Love that Lighthouse. The title was obtained through a Title Contest and after reviewing many entries, this is the one I chose.
